HOW DO I MAKE A MONTAGE??

i am trying to make a great montage out of this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13eY6yb9gdY this is my video i used pinnacle studio 14 to split the clips then used sony vegas pro 9 to get better quality.. somebody please tell me how to use sony vegas pro 9 (MUST BE NINE (9) NOT ANY OTHER PLEASE) effectively.. i REALLY need help on how to make an intro and do some cool effects and lighting stuff.. PLEASE HELP
